Your class receives a complimentary visit, in-person or virtually, to the Asheville Art Museum! You can schedule your visit anytime in the school year following your participation in the More Than Math professional development workshop.

Description
Our inquiry-based group tours, led by volunteer docents or Museum staff, challenge students to hone their observation skills. The More Than Math tour uses mathematical concepts to explore visual art, including line, shape, perspective, pattern, and comparing/contrasting. This tour visits the Collection Hall and selected special exhibitions.
Due to temporary COVID-19 safety precautions, the Museum’s in-person tours are currently limited to small groups of up to 18 individuals. Updates to group tours will be made as restrictions are lifted.
